France is one of the main wine producers in the world, one of the biggest exporters, but also one of the biggest consumers. Winemaking is the most important sector in the food and agriculture industry, with over 85,000 producers, for an average annual production of 43 million hectolitres of wine.
Thanks to collaborations with important groups, it is a bridge to other countries, mainly Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, China, Norway and Denmark. As found in other countries, the trend in the last few years is a drop in pro-capita consumption and a structural change in habits: occasional, young and quality.
These trends reflect our sales in France: apart from generic white, rosé and red wines, also quality products, such as Pinot Nero rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, Pinot Bianco, Barbera Pavia and Primitivo Puglia.
